AIM: To train the Delegates and students in Basic, advanced, surgical and difficult airway skills.
COURSE CONTENT :
1) Lectures and Demonstration on Airway Anatomy
2) Selection, Identification and Insertion Techniques of NPA , OPA ,BMV
3) Methods to open the Airway and Manual Inline Stabilization
4) Airway assessment methods and methods to predict difficult airways
5) Orotracheal and nasotracheal intubation, indications ,contra indications and complications
6) Skill Demonstration of LMA , Combitube and Kings Airway insertion
7) Skill Demonstrations in Needle and Surgical Cricothyrotomy
8) Mock Drills on Difficult airway
FACULTY
1) Course Director : Dr Venugopalan .P.P (MBBS.DA.DNB.MNAMS) Dr. Venugopalan heads the Department Of Emergency Medicine MIMS Calicut which is an International Training Centre in Emergency Medicine under George Washington University, USA. He is a dynamic, versatile and vibrant teacher who is a pioneer in the field of Emergency Medicine in India. Has presented and chaired papers in various National and International Conferences in Emergency Medicine, and has to his credit accreditations and citations from numerous national and international organizations.
